CryptoCult offers comprehensive protection for your mobile communication. It protects your calls, text messages and e-mails from eavesdropping, and allows you to arrange meetings and store confidential data securely. All data is encrypted, meaning it cannot be misused even if your telephone is stolen or lost.
Calls
Call your loved ones or business partners without worrying about the possible misuse of the content of your communication. With CryptoCult, there are no topics you cannot discuss over the telephone.
CryptoCult offers end-to-end security for your communication, which means that data is encrypted on the side of the sender using the strong AES-256 cipher, and can only be decrypted on the side of the recipient. The ZRTP protocol ensures that no third party, including the servers the data pass through, has or can have access to the contents of the communication.
Data is encrypted using one-off keys, which exist only for the duration of the call and are destroyed once the call is over. As a result, the call cannot even be deciphered later, for instance if the attacker gains access to the telephone of one of the communicating parties.
A major advantage compared to other systems is that using CryptoCult does not place increased demands on operation and does not limit telephone functions. To use the application, you only need data connection in any of the commonly functioning mobile networks (GSM /GPRS, EDGE/, CDMA, UMTS, LTE) or a Wi-Fi connection. When connected via Wi-Fi, CryptoCult can even be used without an active SIM card.
The call itself – apart from the few seconds required for key negotiation and verification – is practically the same in user terms as a standard GSM call, which means that security does not involve any inconvenience.
Messages
Protect your text message communication too. There are virtually no limits on message length or attachments – everything is protected by strong encryption.
The text messages sent between users of the CryptoCult application are similar to regular SMS messages, but have many additional advantages. Their length is practically unlimited, image and other file attachments are no problem, and the sender is informed of delivery and reading of the message. Above all, they are secured according to the OpenPGP standard, which means that their content will remain concealed from all unauthorised persons.
E-mail
Access your e-mails no matter where you travel without lowering your demands for communication security.
The CryptoCult application includes an e-mail client that supports standard protocols for sending and receiving electronic mail and message encryption based on the OpenPGP standard. As a result, you can access your e-mail accounts and send and receive encrypted e-mails as securely and conveniently as you would on a regular computer. Compatibility with desktop e-mail clients that support the OpenPGP standard is a matter of course.
Calendar
Discover the unique options of planning and synchronising events offered by the CryptoCult application.
The planning calendar integrated into the CryptoCult application offers not only standard calendar functions, but also allows you to plan and share events with other CryptoCult users. These users can then inform you of their attendance or be informed of any changes you make. The entire process of sharing and synchronisation is of course encrypted.
Data vault
Live without worrying about disclosing or forgetting your passwords, PIN codes and other sensitive data.
The Trezor data vault serves to safeguard your passwords, PIN codes, notes and other confidential data, allowing all this data to be on hand but securely protected against unauthorised access. The contents of the data vault are protected by a strong AES-256 cipher with a key securely deduced from your password.
CryptoCult is available for most standard smartphones with Android or Symbian and we are also preparing a version for telephones with the BlackBerry 10 operating system. The current list of supported telephones is available here.
